Everyone in Oldham will be able to vote Green in the General election on 12 December 2019. Our Green Party candidates are:

Wendy Olsen for Oldham East and Saddleworth

Wendy is active campaigning for Greener Greater Manchester, better buses, cheaper rail and integrated rail tickets, reducing air pollution, also for better protection, lower rents and decent living conditions for renters.

Dan Jerrome for Oldham West and Royton.

Dan is a councillor on Trafford Council. Dan helped to get the Council to declare and take action on the Climate Emergency, he's working to ban the use of harmful pesticides and to see green spaces protected and extended.

Lee Huntbach for Failsworth, in Ashton-under-Lyne constituency.

Lee was elected to Tameside Council in 2019, after working all year round with local residents on many issues, such as fly tipping, protecting green spaces, road safety, and  helping organise gardening classes for retired veterans.

Vote Green to tackle the climate emergency
We are the only political party that is committed to tackling climate chaos as priority number one. We will reduce carbon emissions from the UK to net zero by 2030. We have a Green New Deal that will replace fossil fuels with clean energy and create hundreds of thousands of jobs. We know how we will implement and pay for this.

Vote Green to make our society work for everyone

We prioritise quality of life and equality in our communities. We will reinstate funding for local councils so that decisions on spending can be made locally. We will invest in the NHS. We will scrap zero hours contracts. We will build thousands of new energy efficient homes that people can afford to live in

Vote Green to Remain in the EU and secure a People’s vote

We are a Remain party. But we need a People’s Vote to let voters have the final say on their future based on the facts as they are today.

Elect a Green MP to listen and represent your concerns. Elect a Green MP to hold the other parties to account. Across the country 100’s of Green councillors have been elected for doing just that.
